Surface purity (particulate)

Particulate surface cleanliness is a measure of the number and size of foreign particles adhering to a surface. These particles can impair the function or quality of components that have high cleanliness requirements. Particulate surface cleanliness is usually determined using optical methods and classified according to standards such as ISO 16232 or VDA 19.
